Terms of Use — Siduron

1. Acceptance

Using the Siduron apps and website (the "Service") means you agree to these Terms of Use and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. The Service is not directed at children under 13.

2. The Service

Siduron is a digital siddur (Jewish prayer book) with prayers and texts, daily halachic times, shared Tehilim readings, a community directory (synagogues, minyanim, mikvaot, and events), prayer requests, messages, and ads. Some features work without an account; others require registration.

3. Accounts

• Provide accurate, up-to-date details when registering; you are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.
• You may delete your account at any time from within the app (Settings → Delete account) or by contacting us.
• We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms or harm the Service or other users.

4. User content

• Content you publish — Tehilim readings and dedications, synagogues, minyanim, mikvaot, events, prayer requests, ads, and messages — remains yours.
• By publishing, you grant us a non-exclusive license to display it within the Service, according to the visibility you chose (public / link / invite).
• You are responsible for the accuracy, currency, and legality of what you publish, and for having the rights to publish it.
• Offensive, misleading, infringing, unlawful, or off-topic content is prohibited.
• We may edit, remove, or decline to publish content at our discretion, including content subject to prior approval (e.g., minyanim and ads).

5. Community information, navigation, and your responsibility

• Place details in the Service — addresses, locations, prayer times, and opening hours — are submitted by users and are not verified by us. They may be inaccurate or out of date.
• Before traveling, it is your responsibility to verify that the destination is correct, current, and safe to reach.
• Navigation buttons open third-party apps (Waze, Google Maps, Apple Maps) — you use them at your own responsibility and subject to their terms. We are not responsible for the route, the destination's availability, or the safety of the journey.

6. Religious content — disclaimer

• Daily times are computed algorithmically by location and may deviate. Do not rely on them exclusively for critical halachic matters.
• Prayer texts are prepared carefully but may contain errors. The Service is not a substitute for consulting a rabbi or halachic authority.

7. Payments

• Some services (e.g., publishing ads or certain listings) are paid. Payments are processed by Google Play, the Apple App Store, or the PayPlus payment processor.
• Where publication requires approval, you are charged after approval.
• Refunds for store purchases follow Google Play / App Store policies.
• Prices and features may change; changes do not apply retroactively to completed purchases.

8. Acceptable use

Do not use the Service unlawfully, impersonate others, harass users, send spam, scrape or collect data automatically, disrupt the Service, or attempt to bypass its limits and security.

9. Intellectual property

The apps, website, design, code, and service marks belong to the Siduron operator. Some texts originate from the Sefaria content library and are subject to its licenses. Do not copy or redistribute parts of the Service without permission, beyond reasonable personal use.

10. Availability and changes

The Service is provided as-is. Outages, planned maintenance, and faults may occur. We may change, add, or remove features from time to time.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Siduron operator is not liable for any indirect or consequential damage arising from use of the Service or reliance on its content — including community information, daily times, and navigation links. Our total liability will not exceed the amount you paid us (if any) in the twelve months preceding the event.

12. Termination, governing law

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may terminate access for violations of these terms. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, and the competent courts of Israel have exclusive jurisdiction.

13. Changes to these terms

We will update this page for any material change; continued use after an update constitutes acceptance. The date at the top reflects the latest revision.
